Bicolour Chrysanthemums Artwork Print

An open edition artwork print. Bicolour Chrysanthemums (2024) is part of an ongoing exploration of traditional Japanese visual culture. The inclusion of poetry was not uncommon among privately commissioned ‘surimono’ works. As standard, seasonal themes were referenced in haiku, foregrounding the bond between poetry and nature. The featured poem by Chiyo-ni (1703-1775). “Yellow chrysanthemums bloom, Autumn breeze in the fieldsSo quiet.” This open edition is Giclée printed onto archival quality 308gsm Hahnemule paper. The square format matches a 12 inch record sleeve, making a suitable frame easy to find.
